Weekend Wear

Cheers to the weekend! After a hectic week, I’m keeping my weekend pretty low-key and I have to say I’m really looking forward to it.

Currently I’m loving sneakers (what else is new) and this Smash & Tess Getaway Romper. How cute is it!! It’s honestly the most comfortable thing, yet it still can be stylish to wear on the streets.

What do you guys wear on the weekend?

Workout Wear x Bench

Let’s talk about working out.

Either hate it or love it, we all know the importance of staying active in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. For the past 2 weeks, my workout of choice was laying in the sun, hoping I would break a sweat. That totally counts, right? Now that I’m back from vacation, it’s time to get my fitness back on track.

One thing that gets me pumped about working out is new workout wear! I mean, who doesn’t like to feel and look good at the gym?

When working out comfortable leggings are an essential – these ones from Bench are great because they don’t fall down! The worst is working out and having to hold your pants up.

This bomber jacket was a done deal when I saw it was reversible with PALM TREES. Even though it’s technically for men, I think ladies can pull it off just as well.

My Eyelash Extension Experience!

Hello everyone!

Today’s post will be a little bit different than others. Instead of showing you what I’m wearing, I’m focusing on something a bit more up close and personal – my eyelashes.

Overall, I would say I’m a fairly low maintenance gal. I don’t use a lot of face or hair products and I love anything that saves me time in the morning. As I was just about to take off for Mexico, I thought what better time to try out eyelash extensions than on vacation?

Fluid Day Spa was kind enough to let me try out these gorgeous synthetic lashes! They were a total lifesaver on vacation saved me tons of time while getting ready! The best part is you can have absolutely zero makeup on but still look put together!

If you guys live in the Lower Mainland I highly recommend checking out Fluid for their eyelash extensions! Raj was amazing and the process only took an hour.

What I Wore: Toronto

Hey guys!

Today I’m doing something a bit different on the blog. If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, you’ll know I recently just came back from a trip to Toronto. It was my first time going and I absolutely loved it. With endless patio and food options, tons of shopping and sightseeing, what’s there not to like?

I’ve put together the 5 outfits I wore during the 5 days I was there. Personally, I find it super helpful seeing what other people pack and wear on vacation, so I hope these outfits can inspire you to create your own!

Let me know which look is your favourite and what you like to pack on a trip. 🙂

OOTD: Spring Layers

Am I the only one loving this light layering for the warmer weather?! Sometimes you just don’t want to wear a skinny strapped top or you want to add a little something extra to an outfit. This trend totally let’s you do that 👌🏼. It kinda makes me feel like I’m in elementary school again, but I don’t mind one bit. I love layering under flowy dresses like this one.

Is anyone else making the switch to iced coffee now that the weather is getting hot?! I am definitely a warm coffee kinda gal but I’m trying to get into iced so I don’t have to break a sweat while drinking it….

Cafe Casual

A cafe a day keeps the doctor away. Isn’t that how the saying goes? Ironically, if I go to a cafe that isn’t dairy-free friendly I will most likely be at the doctors complaining about my lactose intolerant pain hahaha.

Last weekend I stopped by at Dalina cafe to enjoy some yummy pastries and a super delicious jasmine almond milk latte (fancy, I know). They also had vegan treats which made me – and most importantly my stomach, very, very happy.

These pants have been my favourite lately because

a) They’re cute

b) They feel like sweatpants

c) Again, they feel like SWEATPANTS BUT LOOK PRESENTABLE. Best of both worlds.

What is some of your favourite things to order at a cafe?! Mine is anything with chocolate…..

Go With the Flow

As much as I would like to say I’m a free-spirit who loves to go with the flow, that simply isn’t true (most of the times). When it comes to work (not play), there’s nothing more than a good organized schedule that gets me excited. Yes, I am being serious.

I’m taking inspiration from my outfit and vowing to go with the flow more in my work. I love how flowy and free this skirt is; it’s the essential Spring skirt. On the colder days you can still get away with wearing it by layering a knit on top! Since it was warmer this day, I paired the look with a form-fitting bodysuit and a grey hat.

How to Style: Retro Pants

I’m baaaaack! After a bit of a break, I am so glad to say that I am going to be able to write more blog posts. Let’s just say school, work and life just got a bit too crazy.

With that being said, I’ve missed writing longer pieces of content for you guys and being able to explain my outfits in further detail.

This is one of my favourite looks that I have worn recently, mainly because of these pants. How retro are they though?! This Levi’s denim jacket also has the perfect baggy yet flattering fit. Also there are inside pockets which is a major plus — perfect for your phone and in my case, snacks (I’m always hungry OK).

How to Style: A Grey Coat

I’m not one to invest in something and wear it once. Nope, never been that kind of girl and honestly I don’t think I will ever be. If I am going to spend a larger amount of money on something, I want to ensure that I will be able to wear it 50, 100, maybe even 1000 times. Buying classic pieces, such as a grey coat will allow you to wear it again every year. I’ve had my camel coat for almost 3 years now and I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve worn it.

Here are some of my favourite ways I’ve worn this jacket, the Aritzia Stedman Coat. Whether you’re dressing it up or keeping it casual, it’s perfect for all occasions.

PS: I’m going to put some options down below for more inexpensive or alternative options, as this one I believe is sold out at the moment!

January Favourites

With the first month of 2017 done and dusted, the new year brought in some new favourites. Those who know me know that I am a very routine person. I use the same products day in and day out because I know that what’s work best. Although this doesn’t stop me from trying new things, I tend to gravitate towards my usual suspects. This month, I’ve bought, been sent and tried out a few new products that I’ve been loving and wanted to share them with you all!

Side note… as I’m writing this, it is currently snowing… Which is definitely an UNfavourite of mine. Can we please be done with this freezing cold weather and have some sunshine please?!

1. Sudio Sweden Headphones

img_5317

IMG_5372.JPG

As pictured above: my love for all things rose gold, white and grey. These headphones are awesome because I can workout without having to worry about the cord, which can easily get tangled throughout my layers of clothing. I love that they stay in your ears, even if you’re running! Can we also talk about how cute they are…….

Use “discoverbella” at sudiosweden.com for 15% off your purchase!

2. Rebecca Minkoff Bag

img_4268

This bag holds everything – from my water bottle to a full on meal, I’m good to go.

3. SOREL Winter Boots

IMG_4379.JPG

Snow, snow, snow… need I say more? These boots are warm, waterproof and basically all I wear when the snow falls (there is still supposed to be more snow… ugh).

4. Marble Phone Case

fullsizerender

I am a true Apple girl. I seldom stray from my faithful leather Apple case however, this marble one is definitely an exception. Who else is obsessed with marble?!

What are your favourites for the month? Comment down below and let me know any products I should try out!
