My Eyelash Extension Experience!

Hello everyone!

Today’s post will be a little bit different than others. Instead of showing you what I’m wearing, I’m focusing on something a bit more up close and personal – my eyelashes.

Overall, I would say I’m a fairly low maintenance gal. I don’t use a lot of face or hair products and I love anything that saves me time in the morning. As I was just about to take off for Mexico, I thought what better time to try out eyelash extensions than on vacation?

Fluid Day Spa was kind enough to let me try out these gorgeous synthetic lashes! They were a total lifesaver on vacation saved me tons of time while getting ready! The best part is you can have absolutely zero makeup on but still look put together!

If you guys live in the Lower Mainland I highly recommend checking out Fluid for their eyelash extensions! Raj was amazing and the process only took an hour.

January Favourites

With the first month of 2017 done and dusted, the new year brought in some new favourites. Those who know me know that I am a very routine person. I use the same products day in and day out because I know that what’s work best. Although this doesn’t stop me from trying new things, I tend to gravitate towards my usual suspects. This month, I’ve bought, been sent and tried out a few new products that I’ve been loving and wanted to share them with you all!

Side note… as I’m writing this, it is currently snowing… Which is definitely an UNfavourite of mine. Can we please be done with this freezing cold weather and have some sunshine please?!

1. Sudio Sweden Headphones

As pictured above: my love for all things rose gold, white and grey. These headphones are awesome because I can workout without having to worry about the cord, which can easily get tangled throughout my layers of clothing. I love that they stay in your ears, even if you’re running! Can we also talk about how cute they are…….

Use “discoverbella” at sudiosweden.com for 15% off your purchase!

2. Rebecca Minkoff Bag

This bag holds everything – from my water bottle to a full on meal, I’m good to go.

3. SOREL Winter Boots

Snow, snow, snow… need I say more? These boots are warm, waterproof and basically all I wear when the snow falls (there is still supposed to be more snow… ugh).

4. Marble Phone Case

I am a true Apple girl. I seldom stray from my faithful leather Apple case however, this marble one is definitely an exception. Who else is obsessed with marble?!

What are your favourites for the month? Comment down below and let me know any products I should try out!

Short Hair, Don’t Care.

Okay well maybe I care. Just a bit.

Last week, I took the plunge and cut my hair shorter than it’s been since I was a little girl. To be honest, I was terrified of cutting my hair short. It’s always been my security blanket; I feel the most comfortable with it being longer. However, the lob trend has been going strong for a few years now and I was itching to try it out. I’m having so much fun styling it – let me know if you would want to see a tutorial!

Do you prefer short or long hair on yourself? Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever had a lob!

How To: Pack a Carry-On

Hello everyone! Today is the day I leave for my 6 and a half weeks journey to Europe. Naturally, I had trouble not over packing. I have never been on a trip for this long so my first instinct is to pack my entire wardrobe and then some. Everyone will need different essentials while packing their carry on, but here are a few of my necessities.

First off, the bag I am carrying on is a super durable backpack made by Herschel.

Comfort

Bring a travel pillow – this thing seriously saves your neck on long flights!

Fuzzy socks – need I say more?

Bring a good book

Becoming engulfed in a good read is one of the best ways to pass time on a flight if you get bored of watching movies or tv shows.

Pack your makeup with you

The worst feeling is opening up your suitcase is to find that your $50 foundation is smashed all over your other makeup. Since my foundation is in a glass bottle, I packed my two makeup bags with me to ensure that nothing gets broken.

SNACKS!!!!!!

This debatably might be the most important one of them all. It’s no secret that airplane food isn’t the most desirable so why not take your own snacks with you? I opted for two healthy go macro bars and a strawberry crunch bar with tons of protein to fill me up.

Stay hydrated

I always bring a water bottle that I can fill up on the plane or at the airport. Those mini plastic cups just won’t cut it on a long flight. As planes can be very dehydrating, I bring my own bottle with a built in filter to ensure that any water I get will be fresh.

Pack a purse separate from your carry-on

Lastly, I always bring a smaller purse to fit inside my carry on bag. This way I can easily access my wallet, passport, etc. when we land. It keeps everything organized so I don’t panic and have to take everything out of my backpack (and yes, I have learnt from experience).

There you go folks, my personal in-flight essentials. What are some of yours?
