It’s been a chilly January in BC. With the holidays being over, I am more than done with the cold and ready for Spring – who is with me?!
In the meantime, I’ve decided to make the most of the situation by finding new ways to rock old sweaters. This chunky turtleneck is 2 years old and it still looks brand new. I decided to revamp it by wearing a long blouse under it to give it a layered look.
Fun Fact: I changed my shoes halfway through the shoot because my lovely photographer, Kiera, found the perfect photo angle for these new booties. Now that’s dedication.

Happy 2016-errrm, 2017 everybody. Wow, it’s weird to type that. I’m that person who takes a month to get used to the writing the date of the new year.
To start the year off, here are two new staples I’ve gotten this past holiday season:
- This Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel
- This Babaton Stedman coat
I am completely in love with both pieces. They are neutral (of course) and go with practically any outfit. The coat is super comfy and cozy and the bag is easy to wear. You can either wear it held, similar to what I did in the picture or sling it over your shoulder.
Dressing for the Holidays can be stressful. If I don’t find a unique piece that I love, I tend to gravitate towards (you guessed it) black. It is such a staple for me that you really can’t go wrong. This look is perfect for a more casual party with friends or at work.
It was -5 degrees Celsius this day and I was freezing my buns off. Layer up with scarves, toques, jackets and gloves to make sure you stay warm! I also had leggings underneath my skirt rolled up for extra warmth but shhhh, nobody needs to know that.

Being Canadian, you would probably think I’m used to the cold, snowy weather, right? Wrong. Living in Vancouver, we rarely get a substantial amount of cold or snow. So when it hits, everyone (or at least I) kinda panic.
This outfit kept me surprisingly warm because the temperature rose to above freezing – yay! Of course, if the weather was colder I would’ve thrown a parka or bigger jacket on top.

White, black and grey are definitely my colours. Or shades, if you want to get technical here. As of late I’ve been becoming increasingly (dare I say) tired of my all-neutral palette. Hey, I mean we all gotta change things up once in a while… but who am I kidding I could never get tired of neutrals.
Okay so technically this mustardy yellow is still a neutral but I’m trying to incorporate different colours into my wardrobe. What are some of your favourite Fall/Winter hues?

My first gold watch! This truly is a milestone in my watch collection… All jokes aside, I’ve been wanting to add some more gold jewellery into my wardrobe for quite some time now. It just so happens that this is the perfect one.

Okay well maybe I care. Just a bit.
Last week, I took the plunge and cut my hair shorter than it’s been since I was a little girl. To be honest, I was terrified of cutting my hair short. It’s always been my security blanket; I feel the most comfortable with it being longer. However, the lob trend has been going strong for a few years now and I was itching to try it out. I’m having so much fun styling it – let me know if you would want to see a tutorial!
Do you prefer short or long hair on yourself? Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever had a lob!
As probably most of you have seen, off the shoulder tops are a huge trend right now.
I especially love the white dress shirts with the ties at the sleeves! For those of you in a colder climate, you can definitely layer this piece with a vest or jacket/cardigan on top. I’ve also seen these in a sweater version which is super cute for the colder seasons!

I think this is my new favourite picture spot. If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I’ve taken many pictures in front of this wall. Personally, I like the design of it and the lighting is always good so thats a bonus.
Moving onto the clothing, this hat looks like a flying saucer to me but I don’t really mind. Hats are a great way to spice up a basic outfit, save a bad hair day or get out of washing your hair for another day.
Layering delicate camisoles over dresses and shirts is also a huge trend this fall. By pairing it with this thin turtleneck, it added a subtle detail that you could only really see from close up.
Hope you’ve all had a great weekend and are ready for Monday 🙂
Apparently I like to tuck my hand into pockets…

Happy October everyone! Even though I miss summer, I am extremely thrilled for Autumn-y food. Cinnamon, pies, pumpkin!! The other day I realized I had food with pumpkin 3 times that day. I’m a tad obsessed… Stay tuned for a post about pumpkin patches very soon 😉
It seems as though this skirt blends into grey backgrounds…I had a hard time finding where my skirt ended and the wall began ha ha ha.
What’s your favourite Autumn activity?
